Todd & Yessenia's Astros Engagement Session at Minute Maid Park!

So, when Yessenia first contacted me, she mentioned that they really wanted to do their engagement session at Minute Maid Park. Being from Boston and knowing absolutely nothing about baseball, I assumed it was just a random park in Houston. After a few more e-mail correspondences and a Doogle search, I realized that it was actually a baseball stadium (and that I need to learn more about the city I'm living in!)

I have been really excited about this engagement shoot because I absolutely love themed engagement shoots with props. Yessenia showed up with a full bag of props and was eager to use all of them. I had a hard time choosing my favorites from this engagement session, but here are a few!

Adeeb & Anahita | Engagement Portraits

This set of engagement pictures is definitely one of my favorites! As you've probably seen by now, I love creative couples that are open to anything. As an engagement gift, I offered to take some engagement photos for my brother-in-law and his future wife, but it was pouring rain on the day of the shoot. I suggested doing their engagement pictures in Target and, since they had some things to pick up from Target anyway, they were both up for it. I normally like to make half my photos black and white, but I decided not to do that for these photos, for obvious reasons!

 

 

This next picture is funny because we were very careful about avoiding Target employees, and when we finally ran into one, he asked to be in one of the pictures!

Kossy & Chibuikem | Engaged!

Kossy & Chibuikem are one of the cutest couples I have met so far and the way they communicate with each other is completely adorable. Kossy showed up with six outfit changes for them, and they matched perfectly. Normally I'd say this is excessive, but I love how all of their photos came out. Kossy picked really bright colors and one traditional Nigerian outfit, which was so beautiful. Unfortunately, they are not taking me to Nigeria with them for their wedding, but I wish them both a lifetime of happiness and matching outfits :)

Tim & Kristi | Engaged!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from my engagement shoot with Tim & Kristi at the Museum of Natural Science in Houston, TX. Since it was pouring rain, we had to be quick and creative with the pictures! 

 

Travis & Lindsey | Engaged!

I met Travis & Lindsey on one of the coldest Houston days in Buffalo Bayou Park for their engagement pictures. Normally, I have couples bring a second outfit to change into, but it was so cold that they ended up staying in their jackets the whole time. Looking back on their pictures now, I'm actually glad because they look great in their matching black jackets! It also really makes me really miss those cool winter days in Massachusetts that I grew up with :)

 

Pedram & Carmel | Rock the dress!

People have asked me several times where we did this photo shoot, and unfortunately, I can never give a clear answer. A day before the shoot, I asked Pedram & Carmel where they wanted to do these pictures. Pedram mentioned that after he appealed his speeding ticket, he was driving around some of the "rougher" areas in Downtown Houston, and happened to drive by this area. I'm usually up for anything, so I said yes. When we first pulled in, all I saw were lots of homeless people in a polluted park and an old railroad track. However, after a few minutes of walking around, I saw exactly what he picked that spot!
